Pericope Bible Study

Thursday Mornings at 9:00 am

The word "pericope" comes from Greek words meaning "to cut around." This term is used for each reading appointed for the Sunday of the Church Year in what is known as the Lectionary. St. John in Keystone follows the One Year (historic) Lectionary as it is contained in Lutheran Service Book. Join us for this Bible Study as we look at the readings for the upcoming Sunday as they have been handed down to the church through the ages. This is a great opportunity to study the texts before the service and hearing the sermon which is based off one or more of these readings.
