On Wednesday afternoons, following the school day, we gather together to study God's word. Beginning in third grade students learn stories from the Old and New Testaments as well as Catechism recitation for two years. Following these Bible studies the children continue learning the Christian Faith as it is summarized in Luther's Small Catechism. The instruction in the Small Catechism prepares them for confirmation once all requirements have been met and they have been examined and absolved by the pastor. The child is then ready to become a communicant member of the congregation via confirmation.
